Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to common queries regarding our cold-pressed oils, shipping, and orders.
What is the difference between cold-pressed and refined oil?
Refined oils are extracted using chemical solvents like hexane and subjected to extreme heat (over 200°C), which strips away vitamins, flavor, and color, requiring artificial stabilization. Cold-pressed oils are extracted mechanically using a wooden mortar Ghani below 45°C, preserving all original minerals, fatty acids, raw aromas, and natural antioxidants.
Why is wood pressing better than metal expellers?
Metal expeller machines generate a lot of heat due to metal-on-metal friction (often exceeding 80°C). This heat oxidizes the active lipids. Wooden mortar Ghanis slowly rotate and absorb friction heat, guaranteeing the temperature stays below 45°C.
Do your oils contain preservatives or mineral oils?
No, PureHarvest Oils are 100% pure and single-ingredient. We do not add paraffin, artificial coloring, synthetic fragrances, chemical filters, or synthetic preservatives.
How long do cold pressed oils last?
Since our oils are 100% natural and contain no artificial preservatives, they have a shelf life of 6-9 months from extraction. Keep them stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in airtight containers.
