Preserving Ancient Wisdom
Historically, oilseeds were crushed in giant wooden mortars (called Ghanis or Chekkus) pulled slowly by bulls. Because of the slow rotation, temperature was kept minimal, preserving oil nutrients, taste, and medicinal properties.
PureHarvest replaces bulls with slow-rotating high-torque electric gears but retains the heavy wooden mortar. The wood absorbs heat, ensuring the oils are never heated beyond 45°C.
Why Wooden Extraction Matters
- No Metal Toxicity: Steel expellers heat seeds to 180°C and leach iron oxide. Wood extraction is completely clean and chemical-free.
- Natural Antiviral Scent: Retains full aromatic volatiles, which aid respiratory health and boost cooking flavors.
- Vitamin E Preservation: Preserves highly fragile Vitamin E tocopherols which are destroyed at high heat.
